Taylor has cerebral palsy. The surgery to keep him walking independently required his legs to stay in a straight, fixed position after surgery. Because he could not bend his legs, commercial airlines could not accommodate his special request. An Angel Flight Oklahoma pilot offered to help so he could get the surgery he needed.

“It is a miracle when an angel appears and delivers you to a place of healing, sparing us the sometimes torturous 11 to 13 hour journey each way across vast and rugged expanses of Oklahoma and Texas. It is an answer to prayers and helps keep one's sanity when the road seems too much to bear.” — Dale & Pamela S.
Angel Flight Oklahoma delivers blood products for the Oklahoma Blood Institute and Red Cross in emergency situations. Angel Flight volunteer pilots Doug Vincent and Mark Haywood piloted the first flight allowed in the air after the 9/11 terrorist attack to deliver blood to Ground Zero.
Arranging Free Transportation to Medical Treatment
Angel Flight Oklahoma was created by a group of pilots who believe in the benefit of volunteering. We strive to keep all aspects of the organization volunteer. We are a non-profit charitable organization of pilots, volunteers, and friends that are proud to serve the heartland area of Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, and Kansas. We will arrange free air transportation for any legitimate, charitable, medically related need. This service is available to individuals and to health care organizations. We will also arrange transportation of those people who are financially distressed, or who are in a time-critical, non-emergency situation due to their medical condition.

Flights Needing Pilots
The need for pilots
We fly many missions every day of the year. This map shows some of our missions that you could fly. Each of these flights represents a chance for someone to get the medical care they need. Each flight is a chance for hope that you can help them achieve. We are grateful for your participation at whatever level works best for you. When you fly, how often you fly and whom you fly are all up to you. We don’t expect a certain number of flights. Our passengers understand that we don’t guarantee service. Cancelling for any reason is always your choice.
